Helping people who live in Stevenage achieve their educational ambitions

Betty Game

Do you live in Stevenage and need help with university costs? If so, we may be able to help you. Set up in 2009, in memory of OU graduate Betty Game, the Trust aims to give small grants to Stevenage students who need financial help, particularly those studying with the Open University.

Her graduation ceremony at Cambridge in June 1982 was one of the happiest occasions of Betty’s life. Following her death in July 2009, her many friends decided that the best way to honour her would be to help others achieve their educational ambitions. A number of Stevenage people have already been given grants towards expenses such as the cost of books, travel, revision courses or a contribution towards course fees. Anyone who lives in Stevenage, with a postcode beginning SG1 or SG2 is eligible to apply. We do require you to supply the names and addresses of two referees.
